| Your thoughts?

You and I are both newbies on this project (more me than you).
Neither of us is a newby in general.

Oscar WIlde said "Ignorance is like a delicate exotic fruit; touch it
and the bloom is gone." This is my motto when investigating a new
project: my ignorance will vanish, so I should exploit it while I can.
Fresh eyes have a way of noticing things that old hands
will not (like my mixed metaphor?).

My recommendation to you (and others) is to document what your
problems were. Your first hypothesis should not be that the code is
stupid and broken but that the documentation needs to be made more apt
for newcomers.

I am not recommending silence -- quite the opposite. Make it plain
what your problems are, even those you were able to solve yourself.

My recommendation to the community is to value and pay attention to
such information. Making the project more accessible can only improve
the community by allowing more people to join and by reducing the
unnecessary hand-holding.
