Hello all. I just picked up this 150mce and have been having some
problems getting everything working. I've got a PVR-250 and it works
fine. I'm using a 2.4.25 kernel because I haven't found a newer
kernel that will work with my SATA HD. I finally got a tuner.o with
definitions up to 50 going (the tuner that comes with 0.3q won't
compile on my system). I applied a patch that I saw on this list but
the msp3400 part wouldn't compile properly so I left it out since the
cx25840 should do all of the work. I'm attaching my dmesg. The main
thing in there is that the cx25840 is reporting that "Video signal not
present". I've attache my cable to both inputs (for FM and TV) just
to make sure its getting something (and they both work on my pvr250).
When I cat /dev/video0 all I get is static and no audio (I'm assuming
there should be some static noise). I've tried letting ivtv pick the
tuner (47) and I've tried all of them up to 50 with no go. Any ideas
of what I can try next?

IT WORKS!!!! After two days of playing around with everything its
finally working. Unfortunatly I'm not sure what I did to get it to
work. I had removed the card last night so I could take a look at all
the chips and tuner types just to make sure I've got all the right
options. I put it back in this morning and was having the same
problem. I was playing with the modules.conf and all of a sudden it
started working. Unfortunatly my PVR-250 stopped working. At first I
thought it was the i2c_enable=0 that made the 150mce work and the 250
stop but as it turns out it doesn't matter what I set this to. What I
really thing help things out was the line "options tuner type=2" that I
had set for the 250 when I was using the 0.1.9 driver. Why I think this
is because I had "option tuner type=47" for the 150mce and noticed in
the dmesg that both cards where getting hard coded to type=2. I only
noticed this after I turned off all the debugging because the dmegs was
to long. So any way here is my modules.conf lines as they stand right now.
