That's a known issue. The X error log should have an error message in it
telling you this. One day we will work round it but we haven't worked out
how to yet. At the worst I'll add a dummy mpeg file somewhere and just play
it if we hit this problem, but for now I don't think it's a big deal.
I think I have fixed all the bugs reported against the driver so
I'll have a new one coming out shortly.
I've reverted the normal X code to the one shipped in 0.8. It now
plays small video's correctly and centers them with a black border.
And it's compiled against 4.3 XFree86
