This is great. I scoured the datasheet looking for something that
would help identify this chip during a probe, and didn't think that just
reading a 0 from register 0 would be enough to identify anything
(considering the cx25840 might even have this REF_CLK_SEL is set to 0).
Very nice solution though!
I'll give this code a try on my ntsc 250 and 150, mostly for the VBI
stuff, and let you know if there are any problems.
