Great, thanks. Let me know if there's anything I can do or supply to

You can test 0.3.7e with MythTV. I'm curious if the same problem still occurs.
Hans
I tested it quickly this morning with the 0.3.7e-hans version and the
problem still happened. From my system logs:
I start watching a recording:
Aug 16 06:41:44 [kernel] ivtv: Allocate DMA decoder MPEG stream: 16 x
65536 buffers (1024KB total)
Aug 16 06:41:44 [kernel] ivtv: Decoder VBI RE-Insert start 0x0019ac00
size 0x0000be00 type 1
Aug 16 06:41:44 [kernel] saa7127: Turn CC output on
I skip forward:
Aug 16 06:41:51 [kernel] saa7127: Turn CC output off
Aug 16 06:41:51 [kernel] ivtv: Decoder VBI RE-Insert start 0x0019ac00
size 0x0000be00 type 1
I start watching again, from the middle of the recording:
Aug 16 06:42:05 [kernel] ivtv: Allocate DMA decoder MPEG stream: 16 x
65536 buffers (1024KB total)
Aug 16 06:42:05 [kernel] ivtv: Allocate DMA decoder VBI stream: 512 x
2048 buffers (1024KB total)
Aug 16 06:42:05 [kernel] ivtv: Decoder VBI RE-Insert start 0x0019ac00
size 0x0000be00 type 1
There's nothing more after that. CC output is still off.
Daniel
