Problem still persists, I am running near the end of my rope and I do not know what else to do!
I upgraded to 0.3.7 and I was able to lock to a signal (ivtvctl -I said so) so that definitively helped. However my capture is still zero bytes long. I also loaded different PVR-250 firmware versions. The log with the new version is bellow. ivtv: ==================== START INIT IVTV ==================== ivtv: version 0.3.7 (k) loading ivtv: Linux version: 2.6.12-1.1447_FC4 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-4.0 ivtv: In case of problems please include the debug info ivtv: between the START INIT IVTV and END INIT IVTV lines when ivtv: mailing the ivtv-devel mailinglist. ivtv: Autodetected WinTV PVR 250 card (iTVC16 based) PCI: Assigned IRQ 11 for device 0000:00:0a.0 tveeprom: Hauppauge: model = 32031, rev = B110, serial# = 6148272 tveeprom: tuner = Philips FI1236 MK2 (idx = 10, type = 2) tveeprom: tuner fmt = NTSC(M) (eeprom = 0x08, v4l2 = 0x00001000) tveeprom: audio processor = MSP3435 (type = a) tveeprom: decoder processor = SAA7115 (type = 13) ivtv: i2c attach to card #0 ok [client=tveeprom[50], addr=50] ivtv: i2c attach to card #0 ok [client=(tuner unset), addr=61] tuner 1-0061: chip found @ 0xc2 (ivtv i2c driver #0) ivtv: i2c attach to card #0 ok [client=saa7115[50], addr=21] msp34xx: ivtv version msp34xx: init: chip=MSP3435G-B6, has NICAM support, simple (D) mode, simpler (G) no-thread mode msp34xx: $Id$ compiled on: Sep 2 2005 05:49:19 ivtv: i2c attach to card #0 ok [client=MSP3435G-B6, addr=40] ivtv: Encoder revision: 0x02040011 ivtv: Create DMA encoder MPEG stream: 0 x 32768 buffers (0KB total) ivtv: Create DMA encoder YUV stream: 0 x 10800 buffers (0KB total) ivtv: Create DMA encoder VBI stream: 0 x 17472 buffers (0KB total) ivtv: Create DMA encoder PCM audio stream: 0 x 4608 buffers (0KB total) tuner 1-0061: type set to 2 (Philips NTSC (FI1236,FM1236 and compatibles)) Shorewall:net2all:DROP:IN=eth0 OUT= MAC= SRC=24.162.41.34 DST=224.0.0.251 LEN=107 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=255 ID=8 DF PROTO=UDP SPT=5353 DPT=5353 LEN=87 ivtv: Initialized WinTV PVR 250, card #0 ivtv: ==================== END INIT IVTV ==================== --- Vassilis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I tried all the inputs (0-8) with the same result, > bellow is the output of ivtvctl -n and ivtvctl -I. > > Thanks... > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# ivtvctl -n > ioctl: VIDIOC_ENUMINPUT > Input : 0 > Name : Composite 0 > Type : 0x00000002 > Audioset: 0x00000003 > Tuner : 0x00000000 > Standard: 0x00000000007F3FFF ( PAL NTSC > SECAM > ) > Status : 0 > > Input : 1 > Name : Composite 1 > Type : 0x00000002 > Audioset: 0x00000003 > Tuner : 0x00000000 > Standard: 0x00000000007F3FFF ( PAL NTSC > SECAM > ) > Status : 0 > > Input : 2 > Name : Composite 2 > Type : 0x00000002 > Audioset: 0x00000003 > Tuner : 0x00000000 > Standard: 0x00000000007F3FFF ( PAL NTSC > SECAM > ) > Status : 0 > > Input : 3 > Name : Composite 3 > Type : 0x00000002 > Audioset: 0x00000003 > Tuner : 0x00000000 > Standard: 0x00000000007F3FFF ( PAL NTSC > SECAM > ) > Status : 0 > > Input : 4 > Name : Tuner 0 > Type : 0x00000001 > Audioset: 0x00000003 > Tuner : 0x00000000 > Standard: 0x0000000000003000 ( NTSC ) > Status : 0 > > Input : 5 > Name : Composite 4 > Type : 0x00000002 > Audioset: 0x00000003 > Tuner : 0x00000000 > Standard: 0x00000000007F3FFF ( PAL NTSC > SECAM > ) > Status : 0 > > Input : 6 > Name : S-Video 0 > Type : 0x00000002 > Audioset: 0x00000003 > Tuner : 0x00000000 > Standard: 0x00000000007F3FFF ( PAL NTSC > SECAM > ) > Status : 0 > > Input : 7 > Name : S-Video 1 > Type : 0x00000002 > Audioset: 0x00000003 > Tuner : 0x00000000 > Standard: 0x00000000007F3FFF ( PAL NTSC > SECAM > ) > Status : 0 > > Input : 8 > Name : S-Video 2 > Type : 0x00000002 > Audioset: 0x00000003 > Tuner : 0x00000000 > Standard: 0x00000000007F3FFF ( PAL NTSC > SECAM > ) > Status : 0 > > Input : 9 > Name : S-Video 3 > Type : 0x00000002 > Audioset: 0x00000003 > Tuner : 0x00000000 > Standard: 0x00000000007F3FFF ( PAL NTSC > SECAM > ) > Status : 0 > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# ivtvctl -I > check SAA7115 input signal > ioctl: VIDEO_STATUS = Bad > > SAA7115 reg[STATUS#1 - 0x1E] = 00 > Color Standard (D0-D1): BW/No color > White peak loop (D2): Not activated > Gain value for act.lum.
