Hi,

I am trying to get mythTV going for about the 6th time, I
have just reinstalled fedora 4, done my updates, etc, but
when I do yum ivtv-kmdl-$KVER I get the message:

Parsing package install arguments
No Match for argument: ivtv-kmdl-2.6.14-1.1637_FC4
Nothing to do

So my next step was to download the ivtv drivers ( 0.4.0) and
do a 'make' but I get the following error:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ivtv-0.4.0]$ make && make install make -C
driver all
make[1]: Entering directory
`/home/mythtv/Desktop/ivtv-0.4.0/driver'
created ivtv-svnversion.h
make CONFIG_VIDEO_IVTV=m -C
/lib/modules/2.6.14-1.1637_FC4/build M=/home/mytht
v/Desktop/ivtv-0.4.0/driver modules
make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.14-1.1637_FC4/build: No such file
or directory.  St op.
make: Entering an unknown directorymake: Leaving an unknown
directorymake[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/home/mythtv/Desktop/ivtv-0.4.0/driver'
make: *** [all] Error 2

I am not sure why there is such a problem,  I have installed
the ivtv drivers before, but under Fedora core 4 nothing
seems to work.

Laugh, I have been trying for a year to get this working
under linux, because peformance under windows XP is so poor,
This is my final stab before I give up and go back to the
evil microsoft.

any help apresiated

I'm not sure about the make errors (haven't had time to look at them)

But, I beliebe, the reason you can't get the module for the latest kernel is that it hasn't been built yet. (I read another message that said this)
