Hi

I have used the following successfully using ivtv 5.1 on my Adaptec AVC-2410 
video capture card:

cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg

mpeg3toc test.mpg test.toc

You can then open test.toc in Cinelerra

I found before updateing to Cinelerra 2.0 that I couldn't load a large mpeg 
files.
