Hi,

My old ivtv driver inexplicably stopped working, so I decided to
install the new stable 0.4 version, but I cannot extract the firmware.
ivtv-make-fwpkg is supposed to make a .deb file out of the firmware.
Here is what I get: (I didn't bother setting the maintainer etc when I
recreated this)

$ ivtv-make-fwpkg pvr_1.18.21.22168_inf.zip
ivtv-make-fwpkg: Maintainer name is unknown. Using "Unknown Maintainer".
ivtv-make-fwpkg: You should set $DEBFULLNAME.
ivtv-make-fwpkg: Maintainer email is unknown. Using "[EMAIL PROTECTED]".
ivtv-make-fwpkg: You should set $DEBMAIL.
ivtv-make-fwpkg: Extracting firmware from pvr_1.18.21.22168_inf.zip
ivtv-make-fwpkg: Firmware is .zip variety
ivtv-make-fwpkg: Firmware version is 1.18.21.22168
ivtv-make-fwpkg: Maintainer: Unknown Maintainer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
/usr/bin/ivtv-make-fwpkg: line 213: debuild: command not found
ivtv-make-fwpkg: Failed to build package

I got the exact same error message on two different computers. I also
tried several different versions of the firmware, including an .ext
file, and I also tried the unstable 0.5.1. I've never heard about
debuild before, and googling for it gives very little information. I
run SimplyMepis, which is Debian based, and I followed the Debian
instructions for installation very closely. On one computer I run a
2.6.10 kernel and on the other I run 2.6.12.

Needless to say my tv capture card, a Hauppauge pvr 250, doesn't work.
The logs say something along the lines of failed to initialize
firmware, which is not so surprising. Did I miss something obvious,
and does anyone know how I can make it work? I think the firmware is
the only part I'm missing.

Thanks,
Vigleik
