I just took the day to update my mythtv machine to FC5 and all the latest updates from ATrpms (ivtv, lirc, alsa, etc.)
and now I get: stream: start_time: 0.334 duration: 19.319 bitrate=6063 kb/s select timeout - ivtv driver has stopped responding 2006-05-13 19:36:30.054 TVRec(1): Changing from WatchingLiveTV to None from mythbackend -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Some information: Using a PVR150 & PVR500 (Samsung), but this is all from the PVR150 ivtv: ==================== START INIT IVTV ==================== ivtv: version 0.6.2 (development snapshot compiled on Mon May 8 07:48:42 2006) loading ivtv: Linux version: 2.6.16-1.2111_FC5 SMP gcc-4.1 ... tuner 2-0061: type set to 50 (TCL 2002N) ivtv0: Initialized Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150, card #0 tuner is initialized properly, and I can cat /dev/video0 > /tmp/tst.mpg with no problems. The first time I start Myth, I can watch live tv, but as soon as I try to change a channel, it lockes up, and I get "ivtv driver has stopped responding" on mythbackend. if I try to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ cat /dev/video0 > /tmp/tst.mpg cat: /dev/video0: Device or resource busy However, if I [EMAIL PROTECTED] bin]# ivtvctl --reload ioctl IVTV_IOC_RELOAD_FW ok dmesg: ivtv0 warning: FW Reload: Set DEC IRQ Mask! ivtv0 warning: Timeout waiting for data! Doing some searching, I see it's a known(?) problem: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/dev/153601?search_string=select%20timeout;#153601 http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/dev/181233?search_string=ivtv%20driver%20stopped%20responding;#181233 Is there anything I can do to get ivtv (and Myth) back up and running?
