It's in the kernel, files include/media/tuner.h for the tuner numbers 
and file drivers/media/video/tveeprom.c for the mapping between the 
Hauppauge eeprom tuner ID and the tuner.h numbers.

You need to specify the ivtv module option 'tuner=50' for the tuner to 
work. Alternatively, upgrade to the 2.6.17 kernel and ivtv-0.7.0: that 
combination will autodetect the correct tuner automatically.
