The reason is after the base64 conversion it was 54K. Since you posted
it here I discarded the message on the server being that I am the

It looks very much like you have the LNA problem with Samsung tuners.
Search this newsgroup for LNA and possibly samsung. Basically the LNA
or (Low Noise Amplifier) causes the artifacts when it gets a strong
signal and although there are ways to decrease this effect
(attenuate/decrease the input signal or turn off the LNA). The name
LNA is supposed to mean a very good thing however I am told a real LNA
should cost many times the cost of a PVR 500 so basically the problem
is they use a very cheap/poor quality cable amp. I gave up and my pvr
500 sits on my desk as a paperweight. I replaced mine with a pvr 150
and it works very well and does not have a LNA. This problem also
effects windows users. And there are reports from the snapstream forum
(windows) that hauppage will RMA your unit for one with a working LNA
if you complain to them enough. Here is the snapstream link:
