I realised that I was running the firmware from my PVR350 CD and not the
latest one from hauppauge and upgrading changed things a little.

The CD is labelled version 1.8 and contained version 2.02.023 of the
decoder firmware and 2.04.211 of the encoder. The version from the
website came from pvr250_22_inf.zip and contains the same decoder
version but encoder version 2.05.032.

With the latest version I get no sound at all from the 0.3.2a driver.
With 0.2.0rc3c the obvious audio stutter and sped up video is gone but
the playback is ever so slightly jerky, nothing terrible but not quite
right. There are no interesting messages in my logs anymore.

Ian.
