Great! Thank you for considering this folks. I would guess you understand the need. For us, to integrate IVY at VeriSign there are several steps in the process, which also involves security, and usability. The key factor with developer usability is the capability to work disconnected; we are VERY geographically distributed, with developers working from Bangalore, Mountain View, Toronto, Boston, and Vienna. The new cache management scheme will make working remotely (from the Boston office) easy as pie.
I have done some fields trials with an entirely new build system that leverages IVY. Build times were dramatically reduced, in some cases by 10x. Module Ant files were dramatically simplified as well. The new build system is in a holding pattern until this feature becomes available. Thanks, looking forward to the feature, and working with IVY. --Bob Xavier Hanin wrote: > > On 4/26/07, Eric Crahen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> This is also a real show stopper at my company. >> >> I've been encouraging people to consider ivy, but lack of this feature >> turns >> people off in a big way.
