Umm.... Not clear where those discussions were going, or what I could add... > We currently have "Run Unicode converter on title, author(s) and > abstract" in the Cleanup functionality. Ah! Is that documented anywhere? Massively useful functionality that would have saved me huge amounts of effort in manually converting Unicode to escaped Latex had I known about it . Logically, conversion should run on all fields. I suspect some journal names, for instance, contain accented characters. I presume there is no technical reason to restrict this? > However, it converts TO LaTeX not from. OK. So 50% of my heart's desire. Any prospect of the functionality being pulled out to separate "Unicode to Latex" and "Latex to Unicode" menu items? :-) > I hope that the capability of your C program is covered by latex2utf8 and > `LaTeX::Encode`. Thus it should be covered by our implementation, too. :) Sorry, but don't understand the point being made here.
