Caught! The pin direction is not changed by the pwm libs!
I'll withdraw my proposal!

Yes, that was the idea. A single additional instruction in a big library
won't really bother anybody, but could prevent problem reports about not
working pwm libs. Somewhat selfish, but also pragmatic!
