I suppose it would be wise to have a clear policy for

1) naming convention
2) separation between device specifics and function

I'd be happy to move all general code to the glcd_common lib
immediately.
but what about the differences( e.g pin alias) between glcd_Nokia3310
and glcd_ks0108?

One of my problems was that glcd_Nokia3310 lib writes directly to the
lcd and I wanted to use a cache
But when the different libs do need there own write procedure it is
important that the pin names are consistent
