I'n not sure what big show / conference you refer to.

I think it has to do with those two guys: Everybody and Somebody. Everybody has
ideas and Somebody executes then. But Everybody has many ideas and Somebody
only has limited time and resourses, so he has can only execute a few of those
ideas. And when Somebody does start working on an idea, many additional
suggestions and new ideas from Everybody could give the impression the first
idea is not good enough and Somebody gives up when all the idea's can't be
incorporated in the original plan.

The greatest threat to 'good' is 'better'. Some time ago I thought there was a
pretty good chance of a regional jallib developers meeting. But the idea was
abandoned since it should be real conference to meet expectations...

Yes... I feel like I'm back in my university time. We could have done our best,
but once we've found out what "our best" is we're startled by our own courage,
and don't do nothing at all.

I've been offering half of what would have been needed to have our own booth at
LinuxTag. But if only having a booth at an open source trade fair is not
enough, let's just wait for something to come that *is* enough.

@ Matt: There's no need to speak german, half of the people at LinuxTag don't.
If you're outside the fair grounds, it's a bit harder, but you should be able
to get everything you want in Berlin with speaking english.

Greets,
Kiste
