Yes, this project is alive, but slowly. First, I'm just back from 
holidays; second, Changes in both my life and job leave me less time to 
work on JASmine. Waht's more, I'm waiting for my new internet connection

Ok, so JASmine-Backend seems to work... Good thing, we now need to know 
why the MySQL server does not respond.

Oh ? Did you run the SQL script (jasmine.sql) from the JASmine-Backend 
package into your DB server ?

The PHP error messages wiil be displayed at the bottom of the page, with a 
red background. The JASmine-Backend errors go to syslog, so have a look 
to /var/log/syslog (depending on your distro). Look at the syslogd config 
(etc/syslog.conf) and read the "jasmine" perl script 
(/usr/lib/cups/backends/jasmine, well, the place you manually put it) to 
have a look at the variables and paths.
