HI folks. I'm new to the list (because of the following):

I just installed JServ 1.3.4 with Apache 1.3.4 on a Windows NT 4.0/SP4 box.
I used the default installation that comes with the Win32 installation
file, and checked the config files--they seem to be correct. The JDK 1.1.8
I've got installed works (I can compile an application and run it).

I'm unable to run servlets however. On checking the JServe log file, I
find the following:

[05/04/1999 19:33:17:586] (INFO) wrapper: Shutdown done (PID=75)
[05/04/1999 19:33:17:657] (INFO) Apache Module was cleaned-up
[05/04/1999 19:33:17:917] (INFO) wrapper: Java Virtual Machine started (PID=86)
[05/04/1999 19:33:17:917] (INFO) wrapper: controller started (PID=75)
[05/04/1999 19:33:25:448] (INFO) wrapper: Java Virtual Machine crashed
[05/04/1999 19:33:25:448] (INFO) wrapper: Java Virtual Machine started

[05/04/1999 19:33:26:109] (INFO) wrapper: Java Virtual Machine crashed
[05/04/1999 19:33:26:109] (INFO) wrapper: Java Virtual Machine started
(PID=186)

...... more of the same crash/start, about 10 times

[05/04/1999 19:33:36:924] (INFO) wrapper: VM died too many times w/in 5
second intervals (6); no more tries
[05/04/1999 19:33:36:924] (INFO) wrapper: too many restart attempts w/in
short timeframes; no more tries. There may be an error in your JServ
configuration.

Any clues or suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks.

Regards,
Steve Mann
