Hi!

I've installed JServ many times using SuSE 6.0 with Apache and I've never
had problems.

Apache which ships with SuSE 6.0 supports DSO!

As you can see at FAQ-O-Matic you should configure JServ like that:

configure --with-apache-install=/usr

SuSE copies the apxs tool to /usr/sbin/apxs !!!

Remeber to set CLASSPATH to jsdk 2.0 and jre1.1.7!!!

Subject: JServ on SuSE 6.0

Hello,

i have still trouble installing JServ:

I installed SuSE Linux 6.0 _with_ apache.

Then i installed

        Apache1.3.6
        ApacheJserv1.0b3
        Jdk1.1.7
        Jsdk2.0

with the script from Brahm and i´ve got these last output after running
the script:
*****************************************************************
.
.
.
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/Apache-JServ-1.0b3/example'
make[1]: Nothing to be done for `install'.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/Apache-JServ-1.0b3/example'
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started

Any ideas?

Do i have to uninstall SuSE-apache first?

Michael
