hi guys,
I tried to install ApacheJServ-1.0b5 on my Linux machine running
RedHat Linux 5.2, Apache Web Server 1.3.3 and Blackdown's JDK 1.1.7 for
Linux.
I get the following error message (in the jserv.log file):
[26/05/1999 11:04:04:056] (EMERGENCY) ajp11: can not connect to host
127.0.0.1:8007
[26/05/1999 11:04:04:056] (EMERGENCY) ajp11: connection fail
[26/05/1999 11:04:04:056] (ERROR) an error returned handling request via
protocol "ajpv11"
I have no clue what this means.
I went through the mailing list archive and although people in past have
reported such problems, their solutions didnt work for me.
I am not able to access the FAQ-O-MATIC page also.
I need JServ running for an immediate assignment and I would be grateful
if someone could send me the configuration scripts/explain the process of
configuring for my platform, at the earliest.
I used the following to configure JServ: (in the apache-jserv dir)
./configure --with-apache-install=/usr/local/apache \
--prefix=/usr/local/jserv \
--enable-apache-conf
