Hmmm. I don't think I can be of much help on this one. But maybe I can point you in
the right direction.

1)I used http://127.0.0.1/servlets/hello to view the sample.

2)Also, it looks like your path in the properties file or your system to the java bin
directory might be off.

3)The java.io exception. Usually that is due to an error in the java file itself. It
is usually a compile error.

Subject: Problem installing JServ

Hi,

I have a problem installing JServ 1.0 with Apache 1.3.9. I'm running SuSE
6.2 Linux and after having compiled and installed the appropriate files, I
tried to see the example that was given along with the JServ distribution. I
included the jserv.conf file in my httpd.conf and loaded using DSO the
mod_jserv.so. When I tried to hit http://localhost/example/Hello I got an
"Internal Server Error" so I checked the error_log and all I get is an error
message that says the following:

"ApacheJserv/1.0: Error while reading configuration file:
java.io.FileNotFoundException:
/root/ApacheJServ-1.0/example/jserv.properties"

Any ideas....?

John Aggelis
