It does have a search feature!

We cannot guess what you are trying to do:
#1. Include version numbers for all software.
#2. Include relevant configuration settings.
#3. Include full descriptions of the problem.

Got Linux? Seeing lots of java processes?

Hello ,

I saw this remark very often about servlet chaining stating that it is an
"HORRIBLE IDEA".
Funny enough no one really explained to me why this idea is so horrible.
Servlet chaining allow you to drop the thread of the previous servlet and
having a new one starting to handle the next step which could be formatting
the response according to a device. Anyhow is there a place talking about
why it is a bad idea and how to design a solution to solve the same type of
problem. By the way I already looked at the FAQ, and I didn't find there a
satisfactory answer to this question.
Stating that it is not part of the API and therefore not good is a little
bit too simplistic as an explanation for me. Especially when you see that
most servers are implementing this feature. Are we the only one right
against the rest of the world again?

Kind regards.

Frederic M. P. Bellier

So it is. I was looking for an answer to my
original question when I went through the FAQ,
so I didn't find the answer then. Sorry.

                > Chaining is a HORRIBLE idea. There are many other ways
that are better

Any pointers? Can't use JSP. Can't use Javascript.
The one real solution I got was from Henner Zeller
who suggested that I use his PageParser.process()
method. But this is pretty much identical (in effect)
                to using chaining.

As always, help would be appreciated.
