No. I had it up and running on NT as a service. One thing I did notice
though was that if I stopped the Apache service and then restarted it that
JServ would not start properly. The solution was two restarts. This was
very consistent on my system. Your results might vary...

Subject: running Apache and JServ as a service

Should JServ be able to run when the Apache Web Server is running as a
service?
When I run the web server (not as a service) JServ works just fine, but
then after I start the web server as a service JServ doesn't work anymore,
though the web service still does work. When I try to access my servlet
the browser just hangs and eventually times out. There are no error
messages in either the JServ or the Apache logs.
Do I have to set up JServ as a separate service in order that it will run
with Apache as a service, or perhaps I have something configured
incorrectly?
OS: Windows 2000
JServ: 1.1.2
Apache: 1.3.12
JDK: 1.3
Thanks,
Jeremy
