What about adding the getMatcher() method to Filter and
deprecating bits(IndexReader)? Then when we release
3.0 we can remove bits() and the only method in Filter
will be getMatcher().
Then this patch should be backwards compatible
and we'd do the API change with the next major release.
Any objections?
