I really don't understand why RedHat releases a product based on beta
software with known bugs!  Other distribtions also have stuff based on
glibc test releases but they clearly state that it's not intended for
prime time yet (e.g. Caldera's Linux Technology _Preview_,  Debian's
_unstable_ woody).

glibc 2.1.92 was a glibc-2.2 test release which had several bugs that
made both green and native threads VMs more or less unusable.  The
current test release, 2.1.94, is much better, but it is still a beta
version.
