Good point... :). If SUN were serious they would violate all those stupid NDAs
they asked people to sign. SUN is just another big stupid company IMO. Nothing
different than Microsoft/Oracle. If you want bugfixes for Solaris (in some
situations) you have to sign an NDA.
I would love to see these agreements evaporate!
I don't think any of SUNs GPL contributions (if it ever happens) would even
help. Their code *sucks* and only really matters to their shipping VMs. All of
the code relies on your VM having a specific set of native methods that aren't
documented and aren't standard anywhere. Maybe some of the 100% Java code could
be taken an merged with Classpath but I certainly don't think anyone would use
SUNs code as is.
