Hi all, The Java Image I/O API specification is now available for public review: http://java.sun.com/aboutJava/communityprocess/review/jsr015/ According to section 7 of the Java Community Process, public review will last at least 30 days, during which we will revise the specification based on the public comments we receive. Comments on the specification should be sent to '[EMAIL PROTECTED]', where they will be read by the development team and expert group members. Discussion of the API specification and implementation should take place on our new mailing list, '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'. You'll need to subscribe to this list by sending a message with: subscribe java-imageio-interest YOUR NAME in the message _body_ to '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'. We are also making our prototype implementation of (most of) the specification available as an "early access" release. The implementation may be downloaded from the Java Developer Connection web site: http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/earlyAccess/imageio/ We invite everyone attending JavaOne next week to join us for a birds-of-a- feather session to discuss the API. The BOF will be held on Thursday, June 8, at 7:00 PM in Moscone Center, North meeting rooms 120-125: http://jsp.java.sun.com/javaone/javaone2000/event.jsp?eventId=615 We hope to see you there!
