Well I have to agree that Java3d can be difficult to learn if you are new to
3d concepts or you have not worked with OpenGL before. That was the case
with me. In May of 2000 I downloaded Java3d for the first time and I had
never done any graphics programming before. Probably over 50 percent of the
problems I had was due to a lack of understanding regarding 3d programming
in general.
