Well frankly speaking isn't JAVA the same? Isn't (or wasn't) Java forced
by SUN?

Well one thing is clear this shows us that OpenGL2 seems to be finally off
the desk if Nvidia now starts to introduce their own
stuff they don't seem to put much effort and trust into OpenGL2 and its
comunity. Which doesn't suprise me much. But a standard without one of
the most important manufactur is very likely to fail.
