Hi chris,
You can find submarine models on sites like 3dcafe
(http://www.3dcafe.com/military.htm). Depending on the java model loader
you will want to use, you may have to perform a conversion.
I have attached a model in obj format that you can use for a non commercial use
( I don't even remember where I got that model).
Loaders are available in the java3D utility package
(com.sun.j3d.loaders.objectfile) or in the NCSA package.
Now, if you want to create the model by yourself I guess you will have to use a
modeling tool like
3DSmax or ligthwave unless you want a very simple model in which case you could
create your file manually (... good luck).
