Not really, I've read Filthy Rich Clients, perhaps he's just overworked. :) My plea is based on what a consumer would choose if given the choice between the user experience of Cupcake vs. Rosie.
I have 92 applications installed (and still 180MiB free) so I do think the application view could be improved for usability. It would also be nice if you could uninstall an application from the application view, by simply long-pressing it and being given options, that is after all the default behavior in other parts of the UI (i.e. bookmarks).
