Not really, I've read Filthy Rich Clients, perhaps he's just
overworked. :) My plea is based on what a consumer would choose if
given the choice between the user experience of Cupcake vs. Rosie.

I have 92 applications installed (and still 180MiB free) so I do think
the application view could be improved for usability. It would also be
nice if you could uninstall an application from the application view,
by simply long-pressing it and being given options, that is after all
the default behavior in other parts of the UI (i.e. bookmarks). It
would collide with how you currently drag shortcuts out on the home
screen, but long-pressing the desktop already gives you this option
(as well as adding widgets).
