I think the most interesting things will be read in cold-mind reports in the following days, but so far I'd say they are dropping nothing. Clear commitment on Solaris, ZFS; JME and JavaFX; keeping Glassfish as reference implementation and for the community, with WebLogic the professional product. Keeping NetBeans as "lightweight IDE" mainly focused on Java core + extra languages, JME, JEE reference implementation support, JDeveloper for the professional suites. There's quite a bit of things to understand about this IDE strategy, but I'm not telling what I've in mind now (after a few email private exchanges) because it's too early. PS Even J1 stays, but moved to September, in the same days as the Oracle Conference, but with its own track and again at the Moscone. I wonder whether a few european conferences will have (or will prefer) to reschedule. Ah, can somebody tell me how is foliage in Yosemite at the end of September? ;-) -- f.g. -- Fabrizio Giudici, Ph.D. - Java Architect, Project Manager Tidalwave s.a.s. - "We make Java work.
