All Java web frameworks seem pretty poor, to me.

There is no real relationship between Struts 1 & 2 beyond the name. Struts 2
is actually WebWork 3 and is completely different (and a lot nicer).

I dislike Spring MVC. There are too many basic things it gets wrong and a
lot of unnecessary complexity. JSP really sucks.

As mentioned by others, Play looks promising, but I haven't used it.

If Java isn't a necessity and it's a small site, maybe Grails.
