I don't know if anyone can help me but I wondered if anyone out there has used the Java APIs for accessing smart cards. I read that these are not part of Java 6 but are included with the Sun implementation. All I want to do is get a student number off a smart card. Just 9 bytes of information from the start of the card. As I have never done anything with Smart Cards before I hoped someone might be able to help. What I am trying to do should not be complicated.
