That tip is one I discovered and that's an old list message that I sent to, I think, the JFWlite list years and years ago. While it may work under XP, it doesn't get everything. Also, I don't think that those instructions will work using the XP version of the Find utility, since it's been completely rewritten for XP. I've never seen an XP equivalent for this tip.
What you _can_ safely do under XP is to delete the following folders on a regular basis.
