Yes, Denny, Dec Access32 is in the jfw.ini file including the long name and
the driver.

Does your Dec Access 32 show up in your JFW.ini file as one of the
synsethizers?

I can use it, too, Matt. The problem is that I don't know how to get it to
automatically load when JAWS comes up. I think some kind of load command
needs to be put into a .ini file or something like that, but I can't seem to
get an answer from anyone on the list about this.

I have DecTalk access 32 installed and I've used it as a default synth and
its worked fine. I have the software version though, I'm not sure if a
hardware version would do the same.

Hi Arianna,
I would have to check further, but as far as I know the Access 32 from G W
Micro will not work with Jaws.
If you do get it installed, the best you can do is this:
1. go into the Jaws default configuration manager and then synthesizer
options.
2. if the Deck talk shows up there, then select it as your default, then
close the dialogue, and save your settings when leaving the configuration
manager.
3. re-boot the computer, and see what happens.
If you need more assistance, let us know.

Yes, it is the one from GW Micro.

Hi Arianna,
I haven't been following this thread, but is this the software synth?

Subject: [JAWS-Users] DecTalk Access32 as default synthesizer

I asked this question earlier in the week about using DecTalk Access32 as my
default synth. David recommended that I look on the JAWS users site for
setting up a default synth, but that didn't solve my problem.

Dec Access32 needs to be loaded and I need to know how I set this up so that
it will happen automatically when I start JAWS. I hope this is clear enough
for someone to give me an answer. Do I need to put something in the .ini
file or how do I get Dec Access32 to come up as the JAWS synth?
