Hi Ricque: There is no minimum and maximum for the reset frequency, the default is 2000 but I have experimented from 00 to 10,000. It will be set at 2000 by default, try numbers between 3000 and 5000, start with 3500. It really depends on your computer, soundcard, resources, memory processor speed, processes running in the background, items running at startup etcetera. There are no real standards you just have to try different values. . This value is measured in milliseconds. For example, if this setting is 2000, JAWS only resets the synthesizer once every two seconds. Allot depends on the processor speed, amount of memory, paging size and whether it resides on the same hard drive as your OS or a second hard drive, virtual memory resources being used, programs running in the background etcetera; so you have to sort of play around with the numbers until you get it the way you want it.
