Actually it doesn't. I don't have time on-the-job to reboot and yes it does take what I consider to be significant time to restart, log back onto the network, open the applications I need including the documents I am working on and should the phone ring and I require information to respond well, really, Windows can wait until the morning if I am willing to.
Imagine the Shuttle having to reboot for an update on it's way into Edwards airforce base! Maybe it has happened.
