Yeh, I agree. As an example, I can remember having Windows 98, and an older version of JAWS, perhaps 3.7. JAWS worked so well with the media player at the time that it told me what CD I was playing, the artist, the tracks, ETC. You can't get that now, as far as I can tell. XP crashes less, but I sure miss that feature.
