Lets start over. I am pretty sure I misunderstood just what happened.

Do you remember what you actually did? My understanding was that you just 
deleted the My Documents shortcut from the desktop but now as I read this I am 
wondering if you changed from the old Win98 presentation back to the XP 
presentation. Or maybe you deleted the actual folder?
