Hi Brian, Ok this is just FYI. I'm starting to think there is no way to shut this off and here is why. First, I do have the classic skeem selected. when I check the skeem description it says, JAWS will behave like prior versions with Format and Text options switched off. I now enter into the edit current skeem button. I then Control tab to the indentation tab. I tab once and it says, Default, speak indentation using message voice, one of one. Now when I tab again it says, speak indentation radio button 1 of two. the other option is play sound. Now if I tab a few more times it says modify button. I get a message that says Configuration Manager You are not allowed to modify or delete the default setting. You may only change the default setting's behavior and the behavior's associated data. You were absolutely correct. There is no way to Modify the default setting. Looks like I could play any sound I want, which would be a little less annoying. It's just to bad I can't turn it off completely.
