Hi, To put Jaws to sleep while you are running a program, do the following:
1. While running the program where you do not want Jaws to run, press the Jaws key plus the number 6 on the main keyboard to start the configuration manager (this is the insert key plus the number 6 on the main keyboard). 2. Go to the set options menu option. 3. Go down the set options menu and find the advanced options menu option and press the enter key. 4. In the dialog box that opens, find the check box titled Sleep mode enabled. Press the space bar to check this check box and then move to the OK button and press enter. 5. Press Alt F4 to close the configuration manager and answer yes when asked if you want to save these changes. The next time you start the program, Jaws will go to sleep and not be active. I hope this helps, Ryan -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of John Justice Sent: Thursday, March 20, 2008 7:03 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] TURNING OFF JAWS FOR CERTAIN PROGRAMS I'm told that there is a way to have Jaws turn off when you enter certain programs like games which don't require Jaws. In fact, some games won't work unless you turnh Jaws off completely. The arrow keys are inhibited. Does anyone know the procedure for arranging to have Jaws turn off when certain programs are loaded?
