In VLC, the pause key is the spacebar. Can you specify which media player you have?

Different players have different controls. As an example, you could go to my podcast site which is totally accessible but in Spanish, press, for instance, a link that says "Musica" and a page will open with over 400 music podcasts, each of which has a link that says :"Reproducer" or Reproduce, which will play it online with a modern player that works on Windows/Mac/Unix/Android/Iphone and has controls.
