David,
Try the windows B and play with the option with your up/down arrow and open
the notification button
The notes that were posted earlier looked ok...

Hi Maria,
I have the creators update, and my status of my Window's Defender does not
show in my system tray either. I have wondered this myself, and just have not
gotten around to asking about it. This is a great question. It must have
something to do with the fact that Defender is now a security center, but I do
not know why it does not show up in our system trays though. I hope that
someone can answer this.
Have a great one.

For anyone using the Creator's upgrade, is Windows defender supposed to show
up on system tray as protecting PC? Mine is not.
