There may be some confusion here. Access Bridge is now part of the Java download. If you installed it separately, you may have overridden the current version. Separately, a thread on this list a month or two ago went into the risks of installing Java and its negligible value to JAWS users. Of course, you may have other reasons for needing Java.

If you have a newer version of java the bridge is automatically installed. It does how ever needs to be turned on. I do not have it on this machine so I can't be of much more help than that.
