Hi, You have two choices.
When you shift and tab backwards once you will probablly be in a list of attachments and will hear the word message. That message is the email itself rather than the first attachment. Right and left arrow through the actual attachments and hit enter to open or control-c to copy each attachment separately for later pasting elsewhere. Otherwise, hit control and a to select them all them control and c to copy them all for later pasting into a folder. Strangely enough, when you choose the control and a then copying option you do not copy the actual email itself i.e. the message that you landed in when you first hit shift and tab to go into the list of attachments. However, that method may not show up attachments that are embedded in the text of the email. A more certain way of getting all the attachments out into a folder is to hit alt with f then m while you are in the body of the email. This will leave you on an OK button which you click. You are then put into a standard save screen where you can navigate to the folder where you want to save the attachments. I hope this helps. Take care, Gerry Ellis If you don't know where you're going, How will you know when you get there? -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Adrian Spratt Sent: Tuesday, June 6, 2017 2:52 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Opening attachments in Outlook-2010 When you shift-tab back once, you'll be in a list of attachments. To open one, press enter. In my experience, if there are two, it's the second that you want. If there are more than two, after opening the second, you'll need to return to the attachments field to open the others, one by one. If this doesn't work, please post again. It may be you have embedded attachments, which is another process. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of JOHN RIEHL Sent: Monday, June 05, 2017 6:56 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Opening attachments in Outlook-2010 Hi. I'm using the latest version of JAWS and am unable to open attachments in Outlook 2010. How do I do it? When I'm in the message body and shift-tab back, I hear "message", then if I do it again I get to the subject, etc. What's the secret to opening attachments when in Outlook 2010? Thanks. (I've checked the manual and experimented but have no luck.) Thanks.
