Wayne, I also have word 2010. Lately, I've found that pressing the alt key,
then the f, followed by I, e works. Like Justin, I used to find the sequence
began with alt-f pressed together but not lately, at least with Word 2010.

One more thought. I might say to myself, "one and.." between each key press.
Thus, alt, one and, f, one and, I, etc. sounds silly, I know, but I think it
takes a moment for each key press to be processed. Then you should get an outer
space sound, at which you press the spacebar for "Yes." Then the document will
open.

Justin, I tried the Alt-f i and e sequence in a Word 2010 doc and it did
nothing. Is this method for later versions of MS Word only?

The other way is to try to save it, and it gives you the ability to hit enable
editing if you use the right arror.

I don't have Windows 10 but Windows 7 but I turn on the Jaws cursor and find
where it says "enable editing" and I route the PC cusor there and the document
is ready for editing.

Morning all.

Can anyone tell me how to get a word document out of protected view? I am using
JAWS 17, Word 2013 and Windows 10 on a Dell Laptop. Many thanks in advance.

Jerry
