My favorite recording app has been Total Recorder, but lately there a lot of crackles and pops in recordings I can't seem to get rid of, and their tech support is baffled, too. So I've started recording with audacity. I really love the editing and converting features of Total Recorder, and it will handle video files, at least the professional edition does, which I have.
